THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SULLIVAN HAS ISSUED A * FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR... NORTHEASTERN LAFAYETTE COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN... NORTHERN GREEN COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN... SOUTHERN IOWA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN... SOUTHWESTERN DANE COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN... * UNTIL 800 AM CDT * AT 147 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. RADAR IS ESTIMATING THAT 2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN...WITH ANOTHER 1 TO 2 INCHES POSSIBLE. * RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE... DODGEVILLE...MINERAL POINT...MOUNT HOREB...BELLEVILLE... BLANCHARDVILLE...GOVERNOR DODGE STATE PARK...MINERAL POINT AIRPORT...MONTICELLO...NEW GLARUS AND YELLOWSTONE LAKE STATE PARK. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY AUTOMOBILE.
